According to Coluna Do Fla, Friday’s Flamengo round-up centred on Gonzalo Plata’s social media moves, record transfer spending, and Léo Pereira’s national-team bow, with the squad still working through the FIFA window.

On Thursday 26, fans noticed Plata had archived almost all Flamengo-related Instagram posts. By Friday 27, he had also unfollowed the club.

The club’s official account continues to follow the forward. The change prompted some supporters to suggest it might be the end of the road for him.

The international transfer window closed on 03 March. The domestic market shuts on Friday 27, with Flamengo finishing the period with their highest outlay in history, about R$ 334 million on three signings.

Léo Pereira can take encouragement from his Brazil debut. Carlo Ancelotti approved the Flamengo defender’s first outing on Thursday 26, when he played 90 minutes in a 2-1 defeat to France in the United States.
