Flamengo resume work on Friday as preparations continue for the Supercopa do Brasil. The day also brings updates on Danilo and Lucas Paquetá.
The current champions have not begun the 2026 Brasileirão as hoped, losing 2-1 to São Paulo at Morumbi on Wednesday 28, the hosts coming from behind. According to Coluna Do Fla, the squad had Thursday off.
The group are due to train at the club’s training centre on Friday morning, with the session set to begin at 9.30am Brasília time.
Approaching 35, Danilo has outlined a plan to retire at Flamengo at the end of the 2026 season. He noted the plan could change depending on some factors.
Flamengo will pay 42 million euros, R$260 million, to West Ham for Lucas Paquetá, making it the most valuable signing in Brazilian football at present.
