Flamengo have stepped up preparations in the Carioca, with their position described as critical after the under-20 side remain winless. According to Coluna Do Fla, the first team will hold two full-day training sessions this week.
Those days will feature morning and afternoon work on the same date, with Filipe Luís will lead the activities.
The refereeing team for Wednesday 21’s clássico against Vasco, the third round of the Estadual, has been appointed. Bruno Arleu de Araújo will referee, with assistants Thiago Henrique Correa N. Farinha and Hugo Filemon Soares Pinto. Rodrigo Carvalhaes de Miranda will be on VAR.
Away from the pitch, Corinthians are seeking midfield reinforcements for 2026 and have identified Flamengo academy product Vini Souza of Wolfsburg as a target. Coach Dorival Junior has requested the player and the club have made an enquiry about a loan.
The ex-Flamengo midfielder is under contract with Wolfsburg until 2030.
