Flamengo will present goalkeeper Andrew at Ninho do Urubu on Monday at 15:30 Brasília time. According to Coluna Do Fla, he has already been integrated into the squad.
He arrives as Flamengo’s second signing for the 2026 season, following centre-back Vitão from Internacional. Andrew has signed a four-year deal running until December 2029 and will compete with Agustín Rossi for the starting role under Filipe Luís.
Flamengo agreed a €1.5 million fee, approximately R$ 9.4 million, plus 10 percent of any future sale for his immediate release. Gil Vicente accepted the proposal, allowing the goalkeeper to sign.
After the presentation, the club await his registration to appear in the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário, the BID. Once listed, he will be available to Filipe Luís when the first team begin their season.
The 24-year-old was among the standouts in the Portuguese league in 2025-26, winning goalkeeper of the month in October and again in November.
Goalkeeper became a priority after Matheus Cunha left for Cruzeiro. Beyond Rossi, Flamengo had only two youngsters in the position, Dyogo Alves and Léo Nannetti, which prompted the move for Andrew.
