Flamengo have been ordered by a Rio de Janeiro court to hand over documents and financial data on Maracanã advertising revenues from 2023 to 2025 within 15 days. GE reports that the action was brought by Futuro Eventos, which says it partners on the stadium’s LED panels and alleges it has not received contracted revenue shares.

Judge Maria Cristina Barros Gutierrez Slaibi finds that a contractual link obliges Flamengo to render accounts, including contracts, proof of transfers and amounts collected. The case sits with the third Civil Court of the Capital.

Flamengo sought to add Fluminense as a co-defendant, but the court rejected the request. Failure to meet the 15-day deadline could bring procedural setbacks, such as losing the right to challenge figures later. If the club complies, the matter moves to an audit of contracts, values, invoices, statements and transfers.

Under the contract, Futuro is due 40 percent when sales are made by Flamengo. The company says that since 2019 it has not received accounts, advertiser contracts, sums raised, invoices or transfers. Flamengo argues the agreements are confidential.

Meanwhile, Flamengo face Fluminense at the Maracanã on Sunday in the Campeonato Carioca final, with kick-off at 18:00 Brasília time.
