Flamengo remain active for 2026 and are negotiating with São Paulo over a linked operation involving Allan and Marcos Antônio. Despite some hurdles in talks, the club are optimistic about a positive outcome.

According to Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, São Paulo have shown interest in Allan, who is on Flamengo’s list of negotiable players. The move would likely depend on São Paulo agreeing to sell Marcos Antônio to Flamengo, as part of a connected operation rather than a direct swap.

Marcos Antônio, Brazilian and aged under 26, fits the profile targeted by president Bap and the coaching staff. He also has a good relationship with Flamengo’s football director, José Boto.

Flamengo came close to signing him from Lazio in 2024, but could not complete the deal, so he stayed on loan at São Paulo. During that spell he met contractual targets for a permanent purchase at four point five million euros (R$ 28 million), though São Paulo have not yet paid Lazio.

São Paulo consider the Allan talks separate from Marcos Antônio. They intend to step up discussions with Flamengo only after 14 January, when the club will hold an impeachment vote on president Julio Casares.
