Flamengo have warned Carrascal over his second sending off of the year and he will be fined again. According to Globo.com, the club have been reprimanding players for red cards.
He had come on at 27 minutes, replacing Plata. The Colombian was then dismissed at 49 minutes of the second half for a needless tackle from behind on Guga.
Wallace Yan, Plata, Carrascal and Pulgar were all fined recently. This will be Carrascal’s second fine of 2026 after he was punished in February for a Supercopa do Brasil final red, when Flamengo played the entire second half a man down and lost to Corinthians.
That Supercopa dismissal could still bring a longer ban. He was sent off for striking Breno Bidon in the face with his arm near the end of the first half, and the referee issued the red after a VAR review at the interval.
The STJD, Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva do Futebol, handed him a four match suspension for physical aggression. As the Supercopa is a single match, the ban must be served in competitions organised by the CBF, but he has not missed a game due to a suspensive effect granted to the club.
He is due back at the sports court this week for the appeal hearing. If the punishment stands, he will be unavailable to Flamengo beyond the match against Bahia.
