Flamengo could regain several players for the trip to Chapecoense as the Brasileirão resumes, with Leonardo Jardim to make the final calls on Tuesday. According to Globo.com, some injured players have no chance of travelling.
Only Lucas Paquetá and Luiz Araújo remain in the medical department, both needing more time. Paquetá is in physiotherapy and doing gym strengthening, while Araújo sustained a left knee injury on Friday.
Centre-back Léo Ortiz is in the final stage of his transition and is close to returning. He trained with academy players after recent work with physios and fitness staff.
Several others await the coach's decision. Arrascaeta has recovered from a calf issue and is back with the group, though his long absence could prompt a cautious reintroduction. De la Cruz returned from Uruguay with below-par metrics, missed the friendly, and could travel to Chapecó.
Jardim indicated Plata was short of optimal condition. He is not injured, having played every World Cup match for Ecuador. He skipped on-field work last week, rejoined on Sunday and will be assessed for travel.
Léo Pereira, Danilo and Alex Sandro trained with team-mates and remain at the staff's discretion for a possible return. Carrascal is working with the group but will miss the next two rounds due to suspension, having been the last to come back from the World Cup.
The squad departs in the afternoon. Kick-off at Arena Condá is on Wednesday at 21:30, Brasília time.
