Florentino Pérez has set out his first concrete election pledge, five days before the vote, offering free shirts to every Real Madrid member if he remains president.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the candidate outlined the plan at an event with members and supporters’ clubs in the province of Toledo on Monday.

Each year, the club would send an official shirt to around 100,000 members. The design would not be sold, and only members would receive it.

The shirt would carry a bespoke badge shaped like the club crest silhouette, with the word 'DUEÑO' inside. Pérez’s team has even named the garment 'La Socia'.

No other fan anywhere would be permitted to wear that badge. Annual deliveries would let members build a season-by-season collection, with each edition unique and available only while they keep their membership.

Rival candidate Enrique Riquelme has promised members would pay only 50% of their fee until Real Madrid win the Champions League, and handed out scarves at the launch of his social project.
