The pressure is building at Real Madrid, and all eyes are now on an imminent meeting that could decide the club’s immediate future.

Following a turbulent campaign, a report from El Chiringuito TV confirms that club president Florentino Perez is set to sit down with current manager Alvaro Arbeloa to assess the season and determine the next steps.

This summit comes at a critical time, as Real Madrid are on course to finish yet another season without silverware unless an unlikely turnaround in La Liga occurs.

Despite that disappointment, the club hierarchy has not rushed into a final decision regarding Arbeloa’s position.

What will be discussed?

According to revelations from the outlet, the upcoming meeting will serve as a full review of the season’s events.

Both Perez and Arbeloa are expected to analyse what went wrong and decide whether continuity is the right path forward.

Providing further clarity on the situation, journalist Josep Pedrerol explained the current stance within the club, stating,

“Arbeloa hasn’t been fired as coach. Florentino will speak with the coach, and they’ll both draw their own conclusions.

“The club knows that the team is behind the coach and supports him staying on.”

That backing from the dressing room could prove crucial, as in a squad filled with high-profile names, maintaining harmony is often just as important as tactical decisions.

However, results ultimately define Real Madrid’s standards, and this season has fallen well short.

Furthermore, Pedrerol also addressed growing speculation surrounding potential replacements, particularly the name of Jurgen Klopp. He dismissed those rumours, adding,

“It is not a possibility” at this time, and “there are no plans for him to sign with Madrid.”

This effectively narrows the field and suggests that the club’s immediate focus remains on evaluating Arbeloa rather than pursuing a marquee appointment.
