Lens led OL at the break in the Coupe de France quarter-final thanks to goals from Florian Thauvin and Abdallah Sima.
Thauvin struck in the 23rd minute after Rémy Descamps spilled a deceptive cross-shot from Saud Abdulhamid, leaving the forward unmarked to finish. As reported by L'Équipe, the Lens scorer then went to acknowledge his coach, Pierre Sage.
Descamps was deputising for regular starter Dominik Greif and endured a first half to forget, with little help from a lax defence.
He did keep OL in the contest on 43 minutes, blocking Odsonne Édouard as the interval approached.
Sima then beat him at the near post with a powerful strike in first-half added time, 45+1 minutes.
