Pep Guardiola says Phil Foden is available and ready to face Manchester United on Sunday.
The City forward has endured a frustrating start to the new season and was forced to miss the games against Tottenham and Brighton with injury.
Having now recovered, Guardiola says our Academy graduate is “desperate” to get back to his best as quickly as possible.
“Yeah. (he’s ready),” said the boss when asked about Foden’s fitness.
“He’s the first in [training] and desperate to feel happy, the joy in every training session.
"One of the reasons we struggled [is that] we missed him a lot in the final third and his work ethic.
“We had a glimpse of coming back[this season] and then he gets a kick.
“10 days on and then another knock. We have to go day by day. He has to try any way.”
Guardiola was also asked if United are dangerous – and even more so when things haven’t been going well – he added: “Always there are teams that beat us.
“We have respect for United. I’m so nice. I have respect for history and their legacy.
“We need the points. Two defeats. It hurt because I want to win, and we will try to do it.”
