Former Real Madrid star in bizarre criticism of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal: ‘I didn’t like it’ | OneFootball

Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal has this week come in for some altogether unusual criticism, by way of a former member of the midfield ranks at Real Madrid.

This comes owing to a recent choice of clothing on the part of the 17-year-old.

Lamine is of course fresh off playing his part for Spain, in the country’s latest round of international fixtures.

En route to a heartbreaking Nations League final defeat at the hands of Portugal, the young winger featured from the off in both the semi-final against France, and against the eventual champions.

Lamine’s performance in the former outing drew widespread praise, as fans, media figures and more hailed another spectacular individual showing on the part of the Barcelona youth product.

As alluded to above, though, keen to focus attentions on another subject entirely when it comes to Lamine was former Real Madrid standout Guti.

Speaking as part of an appearance on El Chiringuito TV early this week, Guti highlighted the attire made use of by the attacker during a recent press conference, critiquing:

“I didn’t like Lamine Yamal going to the press conference with his hat turned backwards. You do these things on vacation or in your personal life, not with the club or the national team.”
