Former Roma and Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic has been officially announced as the new head coach of the Montenegro national team.
The 41-year-old, who spent the vast majority of his playing career in Serie A with Lecce, Roma and Juventus, will take charge of his native Montenegro in what will be his first ever role in senior management.
Vucinic scored 17 goals from 46 appearances for Montenegro during his playing days.

He called it a day on his playing career in 2017, after a three-year-spell in the United Arab Emirates with Al Jazira.
Before then, he had scored 21 Serie A goals from 75 league appearances with Juventus, 46 from 147 Serie A outings with Roma, and 34 from 111 league appearances with Lecce.
Vucinic will take charge of the Montenegro national team five matches into their World Cup qualifying campaign. As things stand, they sit fourth in their group of five with six points from five matches thanks to previous wins over Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands.
