Four talking points as Wolves beaten 3-0 at Brighton | OneFootball

Rob Edwards came under further pressure after a dire 3-0 defeat at Brighton.

Wolves conceded after just 35 seconds, then again in the fifth minute, and their defending was calamitous for both. ExpressAndStar.com notes that Brighton had opportunities to stretch the lead before the break.

Wolves registered zero xG in a toothless first half. After the interval, Yerson Mosquera and Hwang Hee-chan had chances that should have produced a reply.

Beyond that flurry they offered little. Adam Armstrong was quiet and the substitutes made little impact. A late third underlined the gulf.

The away end turned quickly, with chants against Fosun following the second goal, then songs for Nuno Espirito Santo, Ruben Neves, Raul Jimenez and Joao Moutinho. Boos met half-time and full-time.

Before kick-off, Joao Gomes handed his training jacket to the lone Wolves mascot, a small act reflecting his character despite him being likely to leave this summer. The away support again travelled in numbers to Brighton.
