City duo Mary Fowler and Yui Hasegawa have both been selected for the 2024/25 PFA WSL Team of the Year.

Voted for by professionals across England’s top division, the pair have gained recognition for their individual exploits across the campaign.

Fowler has been included for the first time in her career having enjoyed her finest season at City to date, finishing the WSL season with six goals and seven assists.

That tally would surely have been greater had she not had her season cut short by an anterior cruciate ligament injury in April, though she still finished the season as the only City player to hit double figures for goals and assists across all competitions.

The Australian also made WSL history by becoming the first player to register at least two goal involvements in four successive matches, against Manchester United, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Liverpool at the turn of the year.

Hasegawa, meanwhile, has now been included in the WSL Team of the Year in each of her three seasons at City.

She joins the esteemed company of Alex Greenwood, Jill Scott, Caroline Weir and Lauren Hemp with the most inclusions while at City and also won the Club’s Etihad Player of the Season award, voted for by the fans.

An ever-present for City across the WSL campaign, she won possession more than any other player and was involved in the most shot ending sequences in the top flight in 2024/25.

Remarkably, she achieved the former of those without committing a single foul in the WSL!

Manchester City Women Managing Director Charlotte O'Neill said of their inclusion: "We're delighted by Yui and Mary's inclusions in the PFA WSL Team of the Year and we're hugely proud of them both.

"Throughout last season, they showed their consistency and class on and off the pitch which was a credit to themselves and Manchester City.

"As we move towards the 2025/26 campaign, the examples they set last year is something everyone at the Club will continue to strive for."

Congratulations to Mary and Yui on being named in the PFA WSL Team of the Year for 2024/25.
