Zinédine Zidane
The name of Zinédine Zidane has been circulating in recent days as the man likely to succeed Thierry Henry has now confirmed the rumors.
Speaking on Tuesday evening during an online press conference organized by CBS, Thierry Henry initially played coy when asked about the next France manager. But for the former Arsenal star, the decision appears to be a foregone conclusion. Without naming names, Henry dropped a telling hint that reveals much about how this story is set to unfold.
"We all know who the new manager will be. You know it, I know it, and I wish him all the best," he stated. Without a club since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, Zidane has always made it clear that leading Les Bleus is his ultimate dream.
Moreover, according to L'Équipe, Zidane is already actively preparing for the role. The outlet points out that the coach regularly watches Ligue 1 fixtures and European matchups, and has already taken time to speak with Laurent Blanc, who managed Les Bleus between 2010 and 2012, to better understand the unique challenges and demands of the position.
