Marcus Thuram says that beating Barcelona in the Champions League “gave Inter Milan confidence” but that they don’t feel “invincible.”
Speaking to French broadcaster M6, via FCInterNews, the 27-year-old gave his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Inter Milan take on PSG in the final of the Champions League tomorrow.
Facing the French champions will be a daunting task for the Nerazzurri after seeing what they managed to do against Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal.
But by that same token, PSG will have studied Inter’s own path through the group stage well.
The Nerazzurri eliminated Feyenoord and then Bayern Munich. These were impressive enough results.
But it was Inter’s tie against Barcelona that showed just how resilient they are.
The Blaugranas threw absolutely everything at Inter. However, the Nerazzurri found a way to win and book their place in the final.

Asked if Inter feel “invincible” after their heroics against Barcelona, Marcus Thuram replied “no, absolutely not.”
“We know that we played two great matches against Barcelona. Who are one of the best teams in Europe.”
“And they were seen all over the world,” continued the France international.
“They certainly give us confidence,” Thuram stated. “But we don’t feel invincible.”
“We’re aiming to win like we did against Barcelona,” the 27-year-old said of Saturday’s final. “We’ve gained in confidence.”
Then, Marcus Thuram said that “I don’t know if it will be a similar match.”
“PSG certainly love to play with the ball,” the Inter striker continued. “They’re tactically a very strong team, with a great coach and top players.”
Thuram predicted that “it will be a tricky match” for Inter.
Then, Thuram said that it’s “certainly special” to be facing a team from his home country France.
“Because they’re a team I’ve already faced in the French league.”
“But in the end it doesn’t matter who the opponent is,” he added. “It’s a Champions League final.”
