The French Football Federation announced on Tuesday that France will host Italy on Friday two October and Belgium on Monday five October at the Stade de France, Saint-Denis, in the 2026-27 Nations League group stage.

A new agreement with the stadium and its operator, GL Events, will allow the national team to return to their preferred home.

Les Bleus have not played there since 23 March 2025, when they beat Croatia 5-4 on penalties in the quarter-final second leg, after a 2-0 first leg.

They will then face Türkiye on Sunday 15 November at Bordeaux’s Stade Atlantique.

The plan keeps a principal base in Saint-Denis while also taking matches to regions, with Bordeaux chosen to combine proximity to fans with economic benefit.

These will be the first home games for France and their new head coach, who could be Zinédine Zidane, strongly tipped to succeed Didier Deschamps after the 2026 World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July.
