The France national football team have opted against setting up their 2026 World Cup training camp at Babson College, according to L’Equipe. FFF – the French FA – has reportedly failed to agree on a financial settlement with FIFA and the private business school over the use of the training facilities. Les Bleus have a plan B in place. They are expected to set up shop at Waltham’s Bentley University, northwest of Boston.
France have already picked their 2026 World Cup base camp in the Massachusetts metropolis – the Four Seasons Hotel, given their three World Cup games in Group I will be held on the Eastern seaboard. Kylian Mbappé’s teammates currently reside in Boston’s Four Seasons Hotel as part of their US tour.
Les Bleus have landed yesterday at Boston. They will face Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil at Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium on Thursday. They’ll then fly south to face Colombia at Landover’s Northwest Stadium on Sunday.
