François-Régis Mughe has left Marseille for AEL Limassol, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal with an option for two further seasons. The Cypriot side are seventh in the top flight.

According to L'Équipe, the 21-year-old Cameroonian forward arrived at Marseille in 2023 and departs after limited senior action.

He made his name with fans in the Coupe de France quarter-finals in March 2023, when Igor Tudor sent him on in the 90th minute against Annecy. Trailing 2-1, he equalised in the 90+6 to force extra time, but Marseille eventually lost on penalties after a 2-2 draw, 6-7.

Short of minutes, he spent part of 2023-24 on loan at Dunkerque in Ligue 2, hindered by injury and limited to five league appearances. A second loan to Kallithea from January to June 2025 brought five matches and no goals.

Back at Marseille last summer, he has since featured only for the reserves in N3. In total he played nine first-team games for OM and scored once, that goal against Annecy.
