Frank reveals Spurs star has undergone surgery – and provides update on two others | OneFootball

Thomas Frank has revealed that Dominic Solanke has undergone surgery on his ankle.

The striker has been struggling with the injury since pre-season and will be out until at least later next month, with Frank saying he is unsure when exactly he will be able to return.

”Dom we know has got that ankle issue that’s been bothering him for a little while,” the Tottenham head coach said.

”Now we decided (for him) to have a minor surgery.

”It’s a small procedure so that means he’s not ready of course. We will have more news about time frame after the international break but I don’t expect it to be long.

”If we knew we could have done the surgery a month ago we probably would have done it so it is what it is. We deal with it now.

”No doubt the way we dealt with this is because we thought it was the right way because I think, in general, no one wants surgery no matter how small it is.”

Defender Cristian Romero, meanwhile, is set to miss the game against Bodo/Glimt because of a “precaution”, Frank says.

Randal Kolo Muani also continues to miss out while he recovers from a dead leg but Frank says he is hoping to have him back soon.

”Kolo Muani, I think we are also now on top of his dead leg so there’s also progress there,” Frank said.
