Fresh details emerge of alleged Raul Asencio role in child pornography distribution case | OneFootball

The ongoing case against Real Madrid player Raul Asencio has taken a fresh turn this week, with a major development. The 22-year-old is accused of distribution of child pornography, and distribution of sexual content without consent, following an incident in the summer of 2023.

Three Real Madrid academy products, Juan Rodriguez, Ferran Ruiz and Andres Martin, all of whom left the club the following summer, took part in the sexual relations which were recorded and then shared. Asencio has defended his innocence, and declared his conscience is clear.

Fresh details about Asencio role emerge

In a fresh report from Cadena Cope, they have revealed Asencio’s alleged role in the matter. Six days after the relations took place, Asencio was with a friend who asked him to show the video of it. Asencio then requested the video from Rodriguez, who showed it to his friend. At the time, he was conscious of the fact one of the girls was a minor.

Asencio messages may incriminate him

The friend in question has given testimony to the police, but Asencio’s messages may also result in incriminating evidence. Cope allege that on the sixth of September, Asencio sent the following message to the friend.

One of the victims has forgiven Asencio

The older of the two victims, 18, has since dropped charges against him, saying that she accepted his apology. As things stand, the public prosecutor is not pursuing distribution of child pornography charge against Asencio, but has requested a 2.5-year sentence for distribution of sexual content without consent. The younger of the two victims, then 16, is pursuing both charges and has requested a sentence of four years for the Real Madrid defender.
