There were fresh injury problems for both Fiorentina and Como in this evening’s Coppa Italia game, as Roberto Piccoli and Tasos Douvikas were forced off the field.
The Round of 16 tie at the Stadio Artemio Franchi will decide who gets to play against Napoli in the quarter-final next month.
Both coaches rotated their squads in this midweek fixture, as their focus is more on Serie A, but they were forced into changes.

Douvikas was the first to limp off before half-time when he fell awkwardly and seemed to turn his right ankle.
The centre-forward hobbled off the pitch and was replaced by Nico Paz, as Alvaro Morata and Jayden Addai are also coming back from injuries and weren’t fit to play an hour.
Piccoli was the next to go in the second half, after having scored the opening goal.
The Fiorentina striker pulled up clutching the top of his left thigh, suggesting an adductor issue, and immediately called to be replaced.
This could be particularly worrying, as Moise Kean is already out of action, while Edin Dzeko was sold to Schalke 04 in the January window.
