Fulham have revived their interest in Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze as they look to strengthen their attacking options, according to The Times.

Chukwueze, currently at AC Milan, is seen as a prime candidate to replace Adama Traore, who is attracting interest from Nottingham Forest and may leave Craven Cottage this summer to reunite with former boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Chukwueze’s links with a move to Fulham for the second time this year after a failed approach back in January come off the back of a somewhat underwhelming two-year spell at the San Siro, where he has struggled to secure regular playing time.

Since joining the Rossoneri from Villarreal in 2023, the 26-year-old has made 71 appearances across all competitions, recording eight goals and six assists.

Chukwueze has been deemed surplus to requirements by new Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri, making the winger available for sale this summer.

Fulham are eyeing a loan move for Chukwueze at the moment, but Milan would prefer a permanent sale to recoup part of the €20 million they paid for him.

Fulham’s pursuit of Chukwueze is driven by the need to inject more attacking impetus into a squad that recently broke their record Premier League points tally under Marco Silva last time out with 54.

However, the Londoners are yet to make any signings this summer, although that could change soon with a deal for Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson thought to be close.

Fulham have also been credited with an interest in Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling, but the Englishman’s wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block.
