Raúl Jiménez’s late header proved decisive on Saturday afternoon as Fulham edged past West Ham to secure a third straight Premier League victory.
The Mexican striker clearly enjoys facing the Hammers, with this goal taking his Premier League tally against them to seven - more than he has managed against any other side in the division. Crucially, it sealed a third consecutive away league win for Marco Silva’s side.
Wins against Burnley, Nottingham Forest and now West Ham have completely changed the picture. Not long ago, the Cottagers were looking over their shoulder at the bottom three. Now, they find themselves sitting comfortably in the top half.
But the bigger story lies in what this result means historically. Saturday’s win took Fulham to 16 Premier League victories in the 2025 calendar year - the most they’ve ever managed in a single year. In the past, they’d topped out at 15 wins, something achieved in years like 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012 and as recently as 2023. This time, Silva’s side have gone one better.
They finished the year on 51 points, just three short of the club record of 54, set back in 2006 and 2009. It’s another sign of how far this team has come.
Since Silva arrived, Fulham have quietly shifted their identity. Once known as a club that regularly found itself in relegation scraps, they now look every bit a solid mid-table Premier League side. Hitting 50 points has become the norm rather than the exception - 52 in 2024, and 51 in both 2023 and 2025.
Goals have also flowed at a healthy rate this year. Fulham scored 51 Premier League goals in 2025 - an impressive return, even if it falls short of the club’s best attacking year in 2012, when they netted 58. Only 2024 (55 goals), 2003 (54) and 2005 (53) rank higher than this year’s total.
Put simply, this isn’t just a good run of form. It’s a Fulham side that keeps raising the bar, and under Marco Silva, breaking records is starting to feel normal.
