Fulham’s Harry Wilson is attracting Premier League interest ahead of his contract expiring this summer.
TEAMtalk reported earlier this week that Sunderland, Everton, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are monitoring his situation, while talkSPORT now says Crystal Palace are also keen and Fulham are facing an uphill battle to secure a new deal. It is also claimed he could be more inclined to depart than remain.
The 28-year-old has seven goals and four assists from 21 Premier League appearances this season. His current deal is due to lapse at the end of the campaign, and a free transfer could bring a sizeable signing-on fee and lucrative wages if he moves.
Sunderland’s only January addition so far is 20-year-old Ivorian winger Jocelin Ta Bi. Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said the club see a dynamic right-sided attacker with high potential and will integrate him patiently.
Sunderland are expected to pay around £3.5 million. Signed from Maccabi Netanya, Ta Bi spent the past 18 months on loan at Hapoel Petah Tikva, helped them win promotion to the Israeli top flight last season, and has two goals and two assists this term. He had been close to joining Celtic before the Black Cats intervened.
