Cottagers have a dreadful record against City

Fulham host Manchester City in Tuesday night's curtain-raiser to Matchday 14, and although they will be in high spirits following an excellent 2-1 win at Tottenham on Saturday - their first away win of the season - it's probably the last game they wanted given their recent head-to-head results against the Citizens.

The Cottagers have lost all of their last 18 meetings with Man City in all competitions, conceding on average exactly three goals per game (54) in the process and scoring just nine!

Pep Guardiola's men remain firmly in the title race after a 3-2 win over Leeds on Saturday afternoon, but they were made to work hard for the three points after squandering a two-goal lead before Phil Foden scored a stoppage time winner.

Following back-to-back defeats against Newcastle and Bayer Leverkusen, in addition to conceding two goals at home to struggling Leeds, it shows that Man City are far from being back to their best on a consistent basis and that will give hope to Marco Silva's men on Tuesday night. However, that head-to-head record and the positions both clubs occupy in the table tell you that the Citizens deserve to be favourites to take all three points.
