Gabi Zanotti becomes all-time appearance maker for Corinthians women with 259 matches | OneFootball

Gabi Zanotti became Corinthians' all-time appearance maker in women's football during Friday's 5-1 win over Red Bull Bragantino at the Fazendinha in the Brasileirão Feminino. The attacking midfielder reached the mark on a landmark night for the club.

Before kick-off at Parque São Jorge, she received a tribute on the pitch. According to Meu Timao, president Osmar Stabile and women's director Iris Sesso handed her a plaque and personalised shirt, while Vic Albuquerque was also honoured for matching Grazi.

Zanotti then struck first from a precise right-wing cross by Jaqueline. Later, meeting an Andressa Alves corner at the near post, the number 10 added Corinthians' fourth.

Now on 259 appearances, she has surpassed Grazi's 258. Her record reads 201 wins, 38 draws and 20 defeats, plus 18 titles. She has scored 91 goals, the second-highest tally in club history.

This season she leads the scoring for the Brabas with seven goals in eight matches. She has supplied four assists, behind only Andressa Alves on six.

Corinthians sit top of the Brasileirão Feminino with 13 points after six rounds. They face Kansas City Current on nine April at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City at 22:00 Brasília time, in the Teal Rising Cup semi-final.
