Santos disappointed again as a 1-1 draw with Recoleta in Paraguay left their Copa Sudamericana hopes on life support.
According to Diario Do Peixe, Neymar was rated 6.0, scoring a fine goal and hitting the post, but an open-goal miss was labelled unforgivable.
Rollheiser earned the highest mark, 7.0, for incisive passes that sent team-mates through on goal, while Gabriel Barbosa was given 1.0 after wasting an open chance and contributing little.
Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão received 5.5 for two good saves and was not at fault for Recoleta’s strike. Igor Vinícius took 4.0 with the goal arriving down his side, and Lucas Veríssimo got 4.5 amid frustration at another soft concession.
João Schmidt’s tidy 6.0 and Christian Oliva’s 5.5 underpinned midfield, with Gabriel Bontempo on 6.0 for linking play and arriving in the box, though his finishing must improve.
Luan Peres came on as a second-half full-back for 5.0 after being left out, João Ananias posted 5.5 and Escobar 5.0, while Barreal, Rony and Mateus Xavier were unrated. Thaciano received 1.0 after scoring while offside then going off injured, and coach Cuca was marked 4.0 with the assessment that Santos dominated yet again failed to finish.
