Liverpool faced off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 14th minute when Moises Caicedo found the back of the net with a powerful strike. Arne Slot’s men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Cody Gakpo equalised for the Merseyside club just after the hour mark. However, Liverpool ended up conceding again in injury time when Estevao scored from close range. The contest finished with the Reds suffering a disappointing 2-1 loss away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against the Blues.
GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili – 7/10
He made a few solid saves at the back but conceded twice this evening.
RB: Conor Bradley – 5.5/10
Bradley had a tough first half and was replaced at half-time.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6/10

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10
Van Dijk cleared his lines when he could, but failed to keep things solid inside his half.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 6/10

CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6.5/10
He earned the ball back a few times but failed to make an impact in the Chelsea half.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 6.5/10
Salah engineered some inviting chances for his teammates to score, but was wasteful in front of goal.
CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 7/10
He worked his socks off but lacked quality in the final third.
LW: Cody Gakpo – 7.5/10
Gakpo was a real menace in the final third and managed to score in the 63rd minute.
ST: Alexander Isak – 6.5/10
He set up Gakpo’s goal with a great touch but was otherwise toothless in the final third.

CAM: Florian Wirtz – 6.5/10
He made two good chances in the final third.
LB: Andy Robertson – 6.5/10
Robertson was full of energy and running on the left flank.
