Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta suffered a right shoulder dislocation in the 55th minute of Athletic’s match at Rayo Vallecano. According to AS, the midfielder was unable to continue and was replaced by Rego.

The injury came in a fortuitous 50-50, and medics put the shoulder back in place on the pitch, his pain evident.

After treatment at the Rayo ground, Galarreta returned to the bench, relatively calm, to watch the rest of the second half.

Pending further tests, he will miss Wednesday’s match at Anoeta against Real in the second leg of the Copa semi-final.

It is a serious setback for Ernesto Valverde, who already has Nico Williams, Prados, Egiluz and Sannadi out.
