Salah’s agent has confirmed that the player doesn’t yet know where he will play next season, but it is clear the Egyptian King is leaving Anfield.

Liverpool were gearing up for another big summer before Salah’s exit was announced but they may now have to brace for a second massive departure according to a recent report.

Galatasaray prepare for ambitious double swoop

One of clubs that has been monitoring Salah’s situation at Liverpool is Galatasaray, whose interest stretches back a number of years.

The Turkish giants desire to bring Salah to Istanbul was highlighted recently by journalist Ismael Mahmoud, who claims the 33-year-old is a ‘major dream’ signing for Galatasaray.

The club are reportedly aware that it would be difficult to convince Salah to make the move, but that doesn’t appear to have deterred their interest.

Salah isn’t the only Liverpool player that the Super Lig leaders are interested in however according to a report from Turkish outlet Fotomac.

Virgil van Dijk is also of interest to Galatasaray, with the club’s president said to view Van Dijk as a ‘dream’ addition to the defence.

The report claims that the club want to bring both Van Dijk and Salah to Rams Park, with the pair said to have been impressed by the atmosphere at the ground in Liverpool’s two visits this season.

Salah’s status as a free agent makes the move more realistic for Galatasaray and with Van Dijk about to enter the final year of his deal and approaching his 35th birthday a deal for the Dutchman could likely be done at an affordable price.

Losing both Salah and Van Dijk to the same club in the same window is a devastating prospect for Liverpool supporters, but one that looks like it could be on the cards this summer.
