PSG have a major decision on their hands—and clubs like Inter Milan and Manchester United are watching closely. Is Gianluigi Donnarumma still their long-term answer in goal?

The Italian keeper is under contract through 2026, but interest from top European clubs is starting to build. Since joining from AC Milan in 2021, Donnarumma has delivered in big moments, especially in penalty shootouts and high-pressure saves. Still, his time in Paris hasn’t been without hiccups.

One moment that still lingers is his costly error against Real Madrid in the 2022 Champions League, raising questions about whether he can be trusted when the stakes are highest.

Now that PSG have finally conquered Europe, attention turns to the future. Donnarumma’s recent form has helped solidify his role as the club’s No. 1, but with just over a year left on his deal, other clubs are preparing to pounce if PSG stall on an extension.

Could PSG lose out on Gianluigi Donnarumma replacement?

If talks don’t progress, PSG could be forced to consider selling this summer to avoid losing him for nothing.

As for potential replacements, BILD has linked PSG to Marc-André ter Stegen, should he leave Barcelona. Other possible destinations mentioned include AC Milan, Manchester City, Juventus, and Newcastle United.

However, SPORT reports that Galatasaray have already made a move for the 33-year-old with an offer, though Fichajes recently revealed that ter Stegen isn’t planning to leave. According to the report, the German international blames Deco and Hansi Flick for pushing him toward the exit.
