Gama mirror Flamengo line after semi as Felipe Clemente sinks former club | OneFootball

Gama, from the Distrito Federal, echoed Flamengo’s line “ninguém morre nos devendo” after their Candangão semi, a phrase that marked Flamengo’s 2025 Libertadores storyline.

According to Coluna Do Fla, for Flamengo the line was about settling accounts with Andreas Pereira, whose error in the 2021 Libertadores final caused Palmeiras to take the title. For Gama, the reference ties back to the state campaign.

In 2024, Ceilândia eliminated Gama in the Candangão semi with a goal by Felipe Clemente.

The centre forward joined Gama this year, then scored for the green-and-white to knock out his former club at the same stage of this edition.

On a different scale, Flamengo settled their own score in 2025, winning the Libertadores against the former player, who was nutmegged twice in the match.

Flamengo’s next game is against Remo at the Maracanã on Thursday 19, in the seventh round of the Brasileirão, kicking off at 20:00 Brasília time. The match will be shown on Premiere on pay-per-view.
