Garro returns to Dorival Júnior’s squad for Corinthians at Santos | OneFootball

Garro has returned from left wrist surgery and is back in Dorival Júnior’s plans.

According to Globo.com, the No 8 has been cleared by the club’s medical staff for the clássico at Vila Belmiro on Thursday, 19:30 Brasília time, in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista.

The club’s initial plan had been to use the 28-year-old only in the Supercopa do Brasil against Flamengo at Mané Garrincha in Brasília on the 1st.

He resumed ball work at the end of last week and has made good physical progress in recent days. He is likely to begin on the bench.

The Argentine had surgery on 7 January after fracturing the scaphoid in his left wrist on 21 December, the date of the second and decisive leg of the Copa do Brasil final against Vasco at the Maracanã.

In his absence, Dorival Júnior has turned to young Breno Bidon in the creative role.
