Gasperini asks Roma to pursue Summerville and Greenwood | OneFootball

Gian Piero Gasperini is tightening his grip.

While awaiting the transfer window to finally get underway with the official arrival of Tony D’Amico, the Giallorossi coach has reportedly already defined his priorities for Roma’s future attack.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, in recent weeks the coach has thoroughly sifted through the many names linked to the club, identifying two targets he considers to be priorities above all others: Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville.

The Marseille forward continues to be Gasperini’s dream.

The coach believes he is the ideal candidate to elevate the Giallorossi’s attack, thanks to his ability to play across the entire attack, create numerical superiority, and make an impact both in front of goal and with the final pass.

Despite the complexity of the operation and Marseille’s €50 million asking price, Greenwood remains the top name on the list.

Summerville is right behind. The West Ham winger continues to enjoy the manager’s respect and is considered the ideal candidate to complete the attacking wingers. After weeks of evaluation and analysis, his name has remained firmly among Roma’s priorities.

The situation is different for the other candidates followed in recent months.

According to Pedullà, Igor Paixao, Antonio Nusa, Christos Tzolis, and Brahim Diaz are currently further down the manager’s pecking order. Some of these profiles aren’t entirely convincing to Gasperini, while others have reportedly had technical or financial concerns that have slowed their candidacy.
