A summer of major changes is on the horizon at Trigoria.
The first changes have already arrived this season, with Claudio Ranieri’s departure and Gian Piero Gasperini taking full control.
Gasperini is reportedly already recommending some reinforcements to the club for next season.
One of these is Antonio Nusa, the Norwegian winger from Leipzig who turned Italy’s heads in the two World Cup qualifiers.
The Piedmontese coach is obsessed with the 2005-born player and, according to today’s edition of Leggo, would even be willing to part with Matias Soulé (who is highly regarded in the Premier League) to see him in the Giallorossi jersey next season.
Nusa is a quick player with a penchant for dribbling, perfect for the left-sided attacking role that Roma has long sought.
However, the Norwegian needs to improve his scoring ability: so far, he has never scored more than four goals in a single season.
This year, too, with Leipzig, he has scored just four goals and three assists in 28 Bundesliga matches.
But under Gasperini’s guidance, he could soon improve these numbers.
