Barcelona will entertain Espanyol at the Nou Camp this Saturday as they focus on securing a win at home in La Liga. The Catalan club suffered a difficult 2-0 loss at the hands of Atletico Madrid recently, so they would be eager to bounce back by earning all three points this weekend.

Hansi Flick will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this game. Gavi, Alejandro Balde and Fermin Lopez could all play from the start of this clash.

Defence

Joan Garcia will feature in between the sticks for the Catalan club after he conceded two goals in his last outing. Pau Cubarsi will operate alongside Ronald Araujo at the centre of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep a solid shape when defending inside their half.

Jules Kounde will try to put in a good performance as the right-back, while Alejandro Balde hopes to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Gerard Martin and Joao Cancelo will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Gavi and Eric Garcia will anchor the midfield for the Catalan club as they focus on establishing their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal will play just ahead of them as part of the Barca attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Catalan giants are to come out on top this weekend.

Marcus Rashford will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if required.

Attack

Ferran Torres will spearhead Barcelona’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real menace on the offensive end of the pitch.

Robert Lewandowski will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages if needed.
