Tijjani Reijnders’ contract renewal is very close to being completed, according to a report, as AC Milan aim to lock down an important player for the long term.
La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin has published an update titled: ‘Milan-Reijnders, where are we with the renewal? Here’s why the handshake could come soon’.
Where are we at, then? The extension is ‘90% done’, give or take a few percentage points, as per Binachin. Milan and Reijnders have spoken and they have agreed on almost everything.
The final details are missing and the signature has not come yet, which is always fundamental, but at the moment there are ‘no worries’ regarding the future of the Dutchman.
The former AZ Alkmaar man feels very happy at Milan and has no desire to go to a team in the Premier League, plus no desire to call Barcelona who wanted him in 2023.

Milan’s idea is to extend his contract until 2030, filing the agreement with Lega Serie A in 2025, so that the five-year period can be utilised. If he were to renew before the end of the season, it could only go until 2029.
Reijnders currently has a deal worth €1.7m net per season that will increase significantly to above €3m per year, which certifies his importance to the side at the moment.
The No.14 has shown with his dribbling, passing and now also his finishing that he is very important tactically, and is developing into an all-round midfielder.
