GdS: Monza pushing for permanent Maldini deal – Milan set the price | OneFootball

Monza are keen to sign Daniel Maldini on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell at the club and Milan have set their price for the winger.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the Brianzoli think that Maldini should be signed permanently and the player himself is also happy to bring his time as a Milan player to a close.

After some unssucceful loans, Maldini impressed in the second half of the 2023/24 season with Monza, getting four goals and one assist from 11 matches.

The only sticking point right now is that Milan want €3-4m for the son of club legend Paolo Maldini, but Monza think they should pay less than that given he only has one year left on his contract before he becomes a free agent.

There are discussions ongping between the two clubs who have a great working relationship and the expectation is that they will meet somewhere in the middle and Maldini will get his move.

If the move does happen, Maldini will be working with someone that his dad knows very well because Alessandro Nesta is the new Monza coach, replacing Raffaelle Palladino who left for Fiorentina to replace Vincenzo Italiano.
