Fresh from a strong campaign in Switzerland, Virginius produced six goals and nine assists in the Super League, boosting his reputation.

The France Under-21 international left Lille permanently for Young Boys a year ago, having previously been on loan there during 2024-2025. He could return this summer to a top five European league.

Genoa are seeking multiple attackers, including Marseille’s Hamed Junior Traoré, and had already shown interest in Virginius last year. He is under contract in Bern until June 2029.
