Antonio Di Salvo’s side will hope to extend their winning streak to three matches to end 2025 on a high note in Georgia on Tuesday. In the early stage of the qualifiers, Germany U21 are sitting second in the group with leaders Greece hosting Northern Ireland earlier on the day.

Germany recorded their biggest win of the campaign on Friday with a 6-0 victory over Malta. Bayern Munich’s midfielder Tom Bischof scored a remarkable hat-trick by scoring three goals from outside of the box, but his clubmate stole all the headlines on his U21s debut.

Lennart Karl netted a brace to replicate his club form on the international stage. The 17-year-old has already scored in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League this season. Hoffenheim’s midfielder Muhammed Damar scored the sixth goal for Germany U21.

Di Slavo will welcome another Bundesliga emerging star for Tuesday’s game. Said El Mala is back in the Germany U21 setup after spending a few days with the senior national team.

The Köln winger has featured in each of the previous four games before receiving a first call-up by Julian Nagelsmann. The 19-year-old scored four and assisted two in his first ten Bundesliga appearances as he quickly became one of the most sought-after players in the league.

The qualification campaign for the 2027 U21 Euros will conclude next year with the crucial game in Greece to be played in March 2026. Both Germany and Greece are yet to lose a match against the rest of the group.

Georgia are in fourth place with five points from the first four encounters. Their only win came away at Malta with a 5-0 scoreline. On Friday, they lost for the first time in this qualification campaign after a 3-0 defeat in Greece.

Team News

El Mala’s return could mean that Ilyas Ansah will lose his starting berth. Damar will hope to start in place of Mert Kömür behind the striker Nicolò Tresoldi, who will compete with Nelson Weiper.

Luka Tsulukidze missed a penalty-kick three minutes after coming on in the defeat to Greece. Ramaz Svanadze preferred a 4-2-3-1 formation before making two half-time substitutions.
