A big and important match.

Ghana vs. Germany: A friendly match in preparation for the upcoming World Cup!
This international friendly serves as vital preparation for both nations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup across Mexico, Canada, and the USA. Leading the Black Stars is Hamburg-born Otto Addo, a former Bundesliga professional and 15-time Ghana international who clinched the German championship with Borussia Dortmund in 2002.
Anticipation is high on both sides. German head coach Julian Nagelsmann remarked, "We are very much looking forward to the clash with Otto's team. Their strong transition play can give us a taste of what to expect in the World Cup group match against Ivory Coast."
Echoing the sentiment, Ghana's coach Otto Addo shared his perspective: "This is an amazing opportunity for us to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world. Germany are a good side, and we can't wait to face them in Stuttgart."
Ghana, having qualified convincingly as group winners, will face England, Croatia, and Panama in World Cup Group L. The four-time African champions have a storied history with Germany, spanning three previous encounters. Their first meeting, a 1993 friendly in Bochum, ended in a 6–1 win for Germany. They later clashed at two World Cups: a 1–0 German victory in the 2010 group stage, followed by a 2–2 draw at the same stage of the 2014 tournament.
The kickoff is scheduled for 8:45 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026.
