Giay attracting enquiries as Palmeiras wait for offers to assess future | OneFootball

Giay’s strong form for Palmeiras has attracted interest, and the club will only weigh his future if an irresistible bid arrives.

According to Nosso Palestra, several unnamed clubs have made enquiries in recent weeks about the 22-year-old right-back, seeking information and potential terms.

Palmeiras do not plan to release him at this stage, but would consider any proposal deemed impossible to refuse. There is no set price, though a deal could surpass €15 million, around R$88 million at current rates.

Giay is understood to prefer a move to Europe, particularly Spain or Italy. He is contracted to the Alviverde until September 2030, having joined in 2024 for about US$7.5 million, R$40.7 million, for 75% of his economic rights.

In 2026 he has featured in 21 of Palmeiras’ 31 matches. He has alternated starts with Khellven, who has also operated on the left.

His performances this year led to a recent Argentina call-up during the last FIFA window.
