Giovanni Van Bronckhorst has returned to Feyenoord as head coach, succeeding compatriot Robin Van Persie after he was dismissed at the end of the season.
According to L'Équipe, he rejoined the Rotterdam club on Wednesday on a two-year deal with an option for a third season.
The Dutchman previously worked as Feyenoord assistant from 2011 to 2015, then led the side from 2015 to 2019.
During that spell he won the Eredivisie in 2017 and lifted the Dutch Cup in 2016 and 2018.
Born in Rotterdam, he faces the task of pushing Feyenoord back to the summit, with the club last crowned champions in 2023. He said the club has been a constant thread in his life and that he is eager to be back at De Kuip and its unique atmosphere.
Sipke Hulshoff will serve as his assistant.
