Finisher, assist provider, team player, decisive when the ball carried the most weight. Marcus Thuram was one of the symbols of the Nerazzurri Double, one of the key men in an historic season: the perfect foil for captain Lautaro, with whom he forms an attacking partnership that has had Nerazzurri supporters dreaming for three seasons, but also a leader at the crucial moment of the campaign, decisive in the final push allowing Inter to pull away towards the Scudetto.

His bursts of pace, his physicality, his technical ability and his danger in the air were among the best weapons in the Nerazzurri's attack. 18 goals and 9 assists across the season, 13 goals and 6 assists in the 2025/26 Serie A season, in which he finished third in the direct goal involvement rankings. Numbers that say a great deal, but that only tell part of the story of his contribution to Inter's attacking play: Tikus duelled with opposition defenders, linked the play, stretched the team, and carried the Inter attack on his shoulders in the decisive phase of the season.

In April, with the title in the balance, Thuram became unstoppable. Roma, Como, Cagliari, Torino, Parma: five consecutive matches on the scoresheet (something only Vieri had managed with Inter in the three-points-for-a-win era), six goals of the utmost importance. A goal and two assists against the Giallorossi, the brace at the Sinigaglia to spark the comeback, the goals to break the deadlock against Cagliari, Torino and Parma: Thuram launched Inter towards the Scudetto and he did it his way, never losing sight of himself, scoring and smiling.
