Lennart Karl has already developed very well in his first year as a professional at FC Bayern. The attacking player often played with a carefree attitude, scored very nice goals and was called up to the World Cup squad as a reward. A DFB legend now has great confidence in him
The attacking player, who currently plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps, is a World Cup expert for Magenta and is already intensively involved with the tournament and, of course, the German national team
Müller has now been a guest on the Bayern Insider podcast, which is hosted by SportBILD reporter Christian Falk, among others, where he also gave his assessment of the tournament chances and talked about individual players
When asked whether he believes Karl could have a decisive influence in an important game like a potential World Cup final, as Mario Götze once did in 2014, Müller replied: „Do you have a consultancy contract with him (laughs)? Could he score a goal there? I think you can only say yes, it could be like that, yes. As I said, otherwise we wouldn’t take him with us.“

Müller went on to praise the youngster: „He’s not unpredictable. Fortunately. I think he’s predictable, and in such a way that you can assume that a good and sensible finish will come out of it when he has the ball with his left foot in dangerous areas. That’s the nice thing about him.“
Julian Nagelsmann, the national team coach, also raved about Karl recently, saying that he was something special and had already made an excellent impression on his first invitation to the senior national team, especially in training
With his carefree attitude, his technique and his tight ball control, he brings a very special element to the offense that can also be an asset to the German team for five or ten minutes.
