The single competitions judge has rejected Real Sociedad’s appeal against the yellow card shown to Gonçalo Guedes for alleged simulation in Bilbao, finding that contact could not be proven. According to Diario Vasco, television replays indicate there was contact.
The flashpoint came in last Wednesday’s cup derby in Bilbao, when Guedes fell under contact from Lekue. He was cautioned on the pitch.

Real challenged the booking on the grounds that the Portuguese did not feign a foul. Their complaint was formally turned down.
As a result, the caution from the derby stands on Guedes’ record. No further action will be taken by the competition’s judge.
The outcome drew little surprise.
