Graham Potter has been named as the new Sweden national team coach.
Potter joins the Nordic nation nearly eight years after he left the country having previously managed Östersund.
The former Brighton and Chelsea boss was recently sacked by West Ham after just eight months in the job.
Sweden have struggled in their current World Cup qualifying campaign and sacked coach Jon Dahl Tomasson last week after back-to-back defeats to Kosovo.
Potter has penned a short-term deal to take over as boss for the remaining qualifying matches against Switzerland and Slovenia as well as a potential play-off on March.
His contract will automatically extend if Potter gets Sweden to the World Cup next summer.
“I am very humble about this assignment, but also incredibly inspired," Potter said in a statement.
"Sweden has fantastic players who perform in some of the world’s best leagues week after week. My job will be to create the conditions for us, as a team, to perform at the highest level and take Sweden to the World Cup next summer."
